Welcome to our teen photography exhibit, Brand New Day
Every teenager living in Los Angeles County has unique experiences and perspectives. LA County Library believes it is important to give teens (you! yes, you!) opportunities to share their view of the world, especially during this time when so many things are changing. So far, 2020 has been an incredibly challenging year. As we look ahead to the future, we are showcasing how you are moving past challenges and embracing what lies ahead. We invited all teens, ages 13 - 19, to express their vision for the future by submitting original photographic artwork to our virtual teen photography exhibit by August 16, 2020. We are no longer accepting submissions, but invite you to visit our exhibit and enjoy a Brand New Day.
The submission process is free and only takes about 10 minutes. You are welcome to submit more than one photograph if you would like. Before you submit please make sure your content is:
- Appropriate for all ages
- Your original photography to which you own the rights.
- Using best practices when photographing people and places. If your photo has any identifiable persons and/or organizations (e.g., store or business name, etc.), ensure you obtain consent from them to be photographed and used in this exhibit before submitting the photo.
Accepted File Formats
Static, still images only.
Images supported: JPG, PNG, GIF
Images cannot exceed 1GB or 36 megapixels
A submission may take a week before being displayed in the exhibit after it has passed the review process. Submissions will be accepted until August 16, 2020. The exhibit will be live and growing in real-time, so users will be able to view the exhibit during and after the submission period. This content portal is part of the BiblioBoard Library, and any submissions will be publicly available to all users.
Do you have a photo that meets the above criteria? Want to make it part of a historic collection?
Submissions are now closed.
